HMRC's Making Tax Digital system requires each user to re-authorise every 18 months. It's a quick process, you simply click on the "AUTHORISE FOR HMRC" link from within our application, it then takes you to HMRC where you login with your Government Gateway user ID & Password. It will then prompt you to authorise "The Tax Kit" to process your VAT returns.
If you have more than one business, then go to My Account > My Business and look for the Authorise link under "Authorised for HMRC" column next the business that needs authorisation.
Once you have authorised again, you will need to logout of The Tax Kit application and login again to ensure the updated authorisation is available.
