Frequently Asked Question

Can I use Apple Numbers?

Last Updated 3 years ago

You can use any spreadsheet software that can import our locked VAT_Return.xlsx sheet and save out a completed file for upload in .xls or .xlsx format.
For example any Microsoft Excel version, Google Sheets or any open source spreadsheet software such as: Libre Office, Open Office, etc.

It is possible to use Apple Numbers. However, you can't "Insert" our VAT Return sheet, so you would have to open the VAT_Return.xlsx sheet in Numbers first, then add your VAT data to additional Numbers sheets in the same file you created. Once it's all updated & linked you can export the Numbers file as .xlsx (File > Export To > Excel...) from Numbers to then upload into our bridging tool. (You may need to remove the "Hide extension" tick box from the file properties on a Mac before uploading).

We recommend using a Mac Laptop/Desktop for this instead of an iPhone or iPad.
